Men’s soccer remains undefeated after landslide victory against Allan Hancock.

The Corsairs men’s soccer team played against the Allan Hancock College Bulldogs on Nov. 7 at Corsair Field, winning 7-0.

While the first half didn’t have much going on — forward Darren Lewis scored the first goal only two thirds into the period — the second half was when all the action happened. Not long after it began, forward Edan Lazarovich scored two consecutive goals ten minutes apart from each other. In the next fifteen, the Corsairs gained three more points, one by defender Jose Arias, another by Lazarovich, and one by forward Denilson Garcia. The final goal was a last-minute addition by midfielder Roey Kivity.

After their victory, Kivity said, “The first half was very slow, but then after we started to get a rhythm in the second half, the pressure was a lot better. We managed to pick off a lot of balls in the offensive third, and we capitalized and scored a lot of goals from that.”

Assistant Coach Rick Minars praised the team for their dedication. “They take the game very seriously, they respect the game, and they definitely want to make sure that they don’t give an opportunity for the opponent to get on a score line,” he said.
