An unidentified man is recovering at the UCLA Medical Center after jumping from the rooftop of a building near Santa Monica College.
Santa Monica Police Department responded to a call of a man throwing bricks off of a building in the 2000 block of West Pico Boulevard Thursday morning.
The suspect reportedly struck a vehicle with a brick before jumping from the roof of the 1-story building onto the sidewalk below where he was later caught by police.
Police say they are unsure what caused the man’s behavior but added that he was in possession of narcotics at the time of arrest. He is currently recovering at the UCLA Medical Center in Westwood and will be charged.
