    Dear Corsair

We’ve been together for quite some time now, 3yrs to be exact, but with all the new changes that I’ve noticed within the past years I’m going to have to put an end to this now.

At first I could deal with your horrible website and all the glitches, but once your changes started to eliminate me as your audience, it was it for me. I can’t stick around when you’re not addressing my needs.

This morning walking onto campus I picked up an issue, as I do every Wednesday, however, this issue sparked my interest more because it was on feminism.

I should have known better when my friend laughed and said, “The Corsair never go through with good articles on important issues, they aren’t your news source Sammie.” I knew they were right since there has been history where you’ve done stories that spark my interest, but you take a whole different turn on it… You always fail me. But I knew the feminism issue; a subject I am very in tune with; will bring our spark back! Watch I’ll be laughing at my friend and reading to them the amazing articles on feminism, boy was I wrong.

As I’m walking down the quad dodging people as I read the print, I stop mid sentence of an article, is this The Corsair? REALLY?
The OP piece not only written by a male, about how “feminism changed him” but illustration you guys chose to run is a blast center photo of a man… The illustration should have been an image of a womxn or something related to the subject, but not a man and definitely not an image of the person who is writing the piece, whether a man or womxn. It turned me off how this was allowed, Corsair.

Not only was I unhappy with the issue this week, but when I logged onto my Facebook to give feedback to you guys, I am blasted with propaganda of the”pink fuzzy hats” as your cover photo and profile picture, is this The Corsair I’ve grown to love?

No! This can’t be MY Corsair, my corsair will be neutral and not fall into the feminism is the “pink fuzzy hats.”

I’m sorry Corsair, but our time here has ended… I’ve unfollowed from Instagram, Facebook and twitter. I wish you the best in your future, but until then I will be seeing other news outlets for news in Santa Monica.

    It’s not me, it’s you. You’ve changed.

    Sincerely,
    you’re beloved EX audience

    Samantha Garcia- Maldonado
