Musical "Wicked" this way comes

Due to its huge success in the past, The Pantages Theatre and 104.3 MY-FM gave fans a special opportunity to celebrate the return of the Musical "Wicked," the untold story of the witches of Oz, in Hollywood, Calif. This year, 104.3 MY-FM and The Pantages Theatre sponsored a "Sing for Your Wicked Tickets" Karaoke contest and launch party in The Pantages Theatre lobby in Hollywood on Sept. 17, 2011.

Local wicked enthusiasts of all ages were invited to dress in the best "Wicked" costumes to celebrate the return of the Tony Award winning play for a chance to win four tickets to the upcoming performances starting Nov. 30, 2011 and playing until Jan. 29, 2012.

The event also gave all who attended access to the best seats in the theatre without paying the extra Ticketmaster fee.

"This type of event is the first we have done for the 'Wicked' fans," said Benny Aguayo Marketing Manager for The Pantages Theatre.

Food, drinks, and special prizes were also given out to the crowd for attending.

The party was hosted by a popular 104.3 MY-FM radio personality Valentine, who is an avid fan of "Wicked."

The contest kicked off with a battle between 20 contestants singing some of their favorite songs from the play such as "Popular," and "No Good Deed."

Five final contestants were chosen to battle in a sing off, and seven-year-old Kimberly Pidazo from Orange County took the top honor. Click here to go to the "Wicked" website.
