Why it is important : Josh Tickell spoke at Santa Monica College in spring of 2018 . His speech was about why millennials are stereotyped and how they are the future . That speech was video taped and will be apart of the movie showing on October 2,2018. Tickell is an author , activist and award winning Journalist . The movie aims to teach students how they can use their passions for change and that can beneficially impact the future. Tickell will have a Q&A after the movie for the curious mind.
What to know before you go : Arrive Early . Josh Tickell’s presentation during the spring semester filled up and everyone could not get in . So for a guaranteed seat / a good seat come early

Commencement Ceremony

A.S Movie Night will screen Rocky Horror Picture Show and Spaghetti Romance, the SMC production going to the Cannes Film Festival, at the Cayton Center on May 24, 2017.

Mindfulness: Giving Yourself the Gift of the Present Workshop
The Center for Wellness and Wellbeing is hosting a workshop on Tuesday, March 23, 2017 to teach students how to be more mindful of the present.
A.S. Open Mic Event
A night when every student will express themselves through singing, dancing, reciting poems or playing any instrument. Coffee and pastries will be provided.
A.S Pride Week Fashion Show
Students will be able to showcase self-designed and various fashion styles and attires.
