Corsairs Win Military Appreciation Game Over LA Valley

The Santa Monica College Corsairs Football team played against rivals LA Valley College on Saturday, Nov. 6, at Santa Monica College for the Military appreciation game held in honor of Veterans Day weekend. The Corsairs were donated Jerseys for today’s game by the American Legion out of Santa Monica, Calif. which depict the military camouflage along with the school color blue.

The Corsairs coming off a 2 game losing streak, went touchdown for touchdown with LA Valley until time ultimately expired with SMC holding their opponents off and taking the 31-28 victory.

Quarterback Sam Vaulton (14) had a total of 181 yards with 3 interceptions and 1 touchdown leading the Corsairs to Victory.

With a record of 3-4, the Corsairs will take on Santa Barbara Saturday, Nov. 13, at 1:00 p.m.
