A.S. Special Election Results

The results for the Santa Monica College 2022 Associated Students (A.S.) Special Election were announced in the A.S. Election Committee at 9 a.m on Friday, May 20. A total of 130 students cast their ballots for nine candidates over five positions. The winners of this special election will serve on the A.S. Board of Directors in the 2022-2023 school year.

The constitutional amendment changes were also approved, passing with almost 88 percent of the total votes. The results can be viewed below.

Alyssa Arreola (113 votes) – 100% of total votes

Seongmin Cecilia Jeong (100 votes) – 100% of total votes

Evan Vasquez-Gomez (45 votes) – 38.1% of total votes 

 

A.S. Director of Activities

Francis Yang (72 votes) – 58.5% of total votes

 

Student Trustee

Catalina Fuentes Aguirre (84 votes) – 71.8% of total votes

Approved (97 votes) – 87.4% of total votes
