Dr. Lizzy Moore, president of the Santa Monica College (SMC) Foundation, discusses allocated funding for the upcoming Giving Thanksgiving during the weekly Associated Students Board of Directors meeting at the Cayton Center Computer Lab on Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, in Santa Monica, Calif. Giving Thanksgiving provides free food and gift cards for students during the holiday. Moore says during the meeting, “We polled three years worth of students who participated. So thousands of students to get their feedback about what items do we have, what items do you like?…We want to accommodate what students are seeking.” Moore continues, “And so where the list is today is based on that data.
