Day 3 of ICE protests - June 8

On Sunday, June 8, 2025 protests across Los Angeles County continued after a recent wave of ICE deportations, marking day 3 of the protests.

Demonstrators established a barricade in front of City Hall while the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deployed less-than-lethal ammunition into the crowd to disperse the group.

Throughout the day, some protesters lit Waymo’s on fire, brandishing hammers to smash in the windows, while others sat peacefully or held up signs such as “No one is Illegal on stolen land”.

Eventually several hundred activists made their way on to Highway 101 in Downtown LA.

The California Highway Patrol Officers then pushed the activists off the highway. Protesters held their hands up while yelling, “hands up, don’t shoot.”
