SMC Women’s Tennis concedes to College of the Canyons at home.

Santa Monica College Women’s Tennis team took on College of the Canyons at Ocean View Park in Santa Monica on Tuesday, March 17. The Corsairs lost 3-6 at home.

Despite the loss, the team showcased strong individual performances in both singles and doubles.

Helene Lambret and Samantha Karns defeated a  Canyons pair in a doubles match 8-6. The Corsairs earned two singles wins, with Lambret and Karns also winning their matches.

 “Singles is definitely a different game. You only rely on yourself… I’m more used to it,” sophomore Yulia Klakova said after the loss in doubles.

The Corsairs will host Antelope Valley and Santa Barbara before the end of the season.
