LisaName: Lisa Kawashima Hometown: Santa Monica, Calif.

Major: Business

Wearing: Shirt, jeans and beanie from True Religion, scarf and shoes bought in Japan and bag from Michael Kors.

How would you describe your style?

It's kind of all over. I dress very casual but when I am at work I like to put a business touch on my outfit.

Where do you get your inspiration?

Most of my inspiration comes from reading fashion magazines like Vogue and from my job since I work at True Religion. I also look what other people around me are wearing, not so much at school, but, for example, when I walk at the Promenade and places like that.

Is there anything you would never wear?

Probably graphic T-shirts. They can look good on other people but on me I just think it looks tacky. Not my style at all.

Why did you choose the major you have?

My dad studied business and by seeing what that gave him and which jobs he got, that definitely inspired me to choose business as my major.

vanessaName: Vanessa Torres

Hometown: Atlantic

Major: Veterinarian or psychology, not decided yet

Wearing: Everything from H&M

How would you describe your style?

I would say it's a mix between urban and chic. I don't follow trends. I just go with my own style and what I think looks good.

Where do you get your inspiration?

Whenever I'm shopping, I look what kind of clothes the stores have. I also get inspired by people around me and by reading fashion magazines.

Is there anything you would never wear?

That would have to be a hat with a lid.

Why did you choose the major you have?

Psychology really interests me, and veterinarian, because I really love animals, and it would be so nice to be able to help out in that field.

I have my own unique style. It is very comfortable, and I prefer quality over quantity.

I am very inspired by Mary Kate Olsen and by people around me. A lot of inspiration and great styles can be found here on campus.

Is there anything you would never wear?

Animal prints. I could probably pull it off, but I just don't like it at all.

Why did you choose the major you have?

It's a broad major. I actually want to work as a celebrity stylist in the future, so this major can help me run my the business I would like to start.
