Katya Shatalova showed impressive potential as a freshman for the Santa Monica Corsair swim team, defeating all contenders at last month's co-ed invitational and showing extraordinary grit at State Finals last week. While the swim season has ended, she continues to improve her technique and still can't be kept out of the pool.
