SMC Soccer Scores With International Students
The mens and women's leading scorers are both international students. Both teams are #1 in their conference and are ranked highly in state rankings. Santa Monica Colleges (SMC) women's soccer team is currently ranked number six in California and number one in their conference. Men’s soccer is also number one in their conference which confirms SMC as a soccer powerhouse.

Tragedy brings SMC's Interfaith community together
A mosaic of cultures and religions gathered together at Santa Monica College on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 12 p.m. for an interfaith vigil for the Tree of Life synagogue massacre victims. Regardless of creed, race or gender students gathered around a common message; “love overcomes hate.”
The Spirit of Club Row
Last Thursday November 2 SMC held this semester’s Club Row, where dozens of clubs set up tables and stands to advertise and recruit. Starting around noon, there was an atmosphere of festivities, with music blaring, flags waving, and airbrush tattoos spraying onto people’s arms.

The Sound Stage theater presented Voices of Hope at Santa Monica College’s (SMC) main campus for one weekend Thursday, November 1-4. This docudrama production aims to shed light on sexual, domestic, Title IX, and child abuses in hopes of breaking the silence surrounding victims.

A Santa Monica Rabbi’s Thoughts on Violence in Pittsburgh
On October 25th, a man named Robert Bowers entered the Tree of Life, a synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, shouting anti-Semitic slurs and wielding an assault rifle. Bowers killed 11 people. The massacre is one of the worse attacks against the Jewish community in the United States in decades- and arrives during the tail end of an exhausting political season.

Soul Veteran, Billy Valentine, Performs at The Broad Stage
Soulful and full of life, legend Billy Valentine graces the Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica, California, this Friday, November 2 at 8:00 p.m. A rhythm and blues veteran, Valentine started his career opening for heavyweight vocalists like Donny Hathaway and Roberta Flack. He was also the lead singer for the soul and jazz instrumental group Young Holt Unitd. who released the ‘60s classic “Soulful Strut.”
