The Santa Monica Corsairs women’s volleyball team faced off against the Citrus Fighting Owls earning their ninth consecutive win of the conference.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and on Oct. 23 SMC’s Student Health Services set up a booth to provide students with statistics and information about breast cancer. They also showed how to perform a breast self examination. Corsair Managing Editor Mollie Bishop talked to Nurse Practitioner Kasiani Gountoumas to learn more.

Dodger offense was non-existent in Game Five of the World Series. Blue Jays’ Trey Yesavage made history as a rookie during his start.

Midterms are just wrapping up at SMC as we head in to the second half of the fall semester.  On Oct. 23 SMC held a Midterm Motivation event to help connect students with any resources they may need to succeed in their classes and give them boost of motivation.
