Voices of Support for Ukraine

As the war in Ukraine ignited, protests across the United States erupted. Here is the audio of some of the perspectives, from Ukrainians and Russians alike, who gathered in Los Angeles.

On Feb. 24, 2022 Russia invaded Ukraine. Missiles were launched into many of Ukrainian’s most population-dense cities, like Kyiv and Kharkiv. Some Ukrainian civilians traveled westward, looking for safety in Poland. Others hid in makeshift bomb shelters. As of March 19, nearly 6.5 million people have been displaced within Ukraine, on top of the 3.2 million who have fled the country. Meanwhile, on the other side of the world Ukrainians living in Los Angeles protested the actions of the Russian government, with many Russians standing with them in solidarity. We went to Studio City to interview the outcry against the Russian invasion.
