SEIU and UTLA Announce Three-Day Strike

Tens of thousands gathered in Grand Park in support of SEIU and UTLA.

Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 99 and United Teachers Los Angeles (UTLA) took over Grand Park and the streets in front of Los Angeles City Hall in the afternoon of March 15 to announce a three day strike. The strike will take place between March 21 and March 23, and it comes from failed negotiations between SEIU, UTLA, and Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Superintendent Alberto Carvalho.
