We Need to Celebrate Veterans Day Every Day
We need to celebrate Veterans Day, not only on one day, but every day. I’m writing this paper because a survey came out that says 22 veterans commit suicide every day. I am a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. and on Aug. 4, 2019 I had surgery on my knee. On Aug. 26, the first day of school, all hell broke loose.
Coach Tim Pierce Sends Six Soccer Athletes to the Next Level

Cross Country Athlete Becomes Successful a Long Ways From Home
From the icy, cold climate of Montana to the warm, sunny beaches of Southern California, Leonard Mccomas became a highlight on Santa Monica College's (SMC) Cross Country team. Mccomas won the Western State Conference Runner of the Year, an award given after the state meet where coaches of the Western State Conference choose a winner.

The Santa Monica College (SMC) Corsairs’ tennis team continues to struggle for a victory. The Lady Corsairs faced the Antelope Valley College Marauders at Ocean View Park on March 5. This match had originally been scheduled for February 5, but was postponed due to weather conditions.
Phat Girlz!: A Letter to Women Struggling with Their Body Image
Award-winning filmmaker Nnegest Likke, pronounced Nagace-Lee-Kay, brought her film “Phat Girlz” for a screening at the SMC Theatre Arts Complex. The 2006 production focused on Jazmine Biltmore, a plump African-American woman struggling to find her confidence in a society that glorifies skinny bodies.
