The 18th Street Arts Center held the third annual Pico Block Party this Saturday, May 19 from 3-6 p.m. to promote youth voices by getting them involved in the community. The block party is a community arts festival that featured events for the whole family, with art workshops that kids could participate in, musical performances, artists' open studios, and food trucks for the hungry attendee.

The festival will serve free pizza and German, Austrian, and Swiss chocolate at the Maifest celebration in the Santa Monica College main campus Quad on next Thursday, May 24.
