Marina Li, Sue McGinley and Sheila Johns have chosen an empty office and turned it into a special closet for students where they could pick up business attires for their interviews for internships and/or jobs.

Algae is Green in More Ways Than One: An Alternative Fuel
Santa Monica residents love their Priuses and other car companies have attempted to follow suit with their own brand of electric vehicles. Oil and alternative energy companies are therefore investing money to develop a surprising new fuel source compatible within the existing infrastructure. This source, made from algae, is the greenest fuel yet.
UC System's Education Woes
Last Tuesday, the University of California Regents approved a 32 percent increase in student fees. The increase of $2500 rounds out the UC education fees to about $10,300. This price does not include the approximate $16,000 students spend on room, board and books.

Famished Flock to Fourth Annual Feast
On Tuesday, SMC's Eco Action Club presented the fourth Annual Feast, focusing on a local food theme. Funded by the Associated Students, the club provided pizza, salad, and drinks free of charge to all attendees. Volunteers from Sustainable Works, a non-profit environmental organization, assisted in the event along with SMC's Club Grow.

Santa Monica Architect, David Randall Hertz, Designs a Very Plane House
When architect David Hertz began building his latest private housing project, The Federal Aviation Administration got involved. They told Hertz he needed to put giant red X's on the roof so that airplanes flying overhead would not mistake the house for a plane crash site. The house that Hertz built used to be a Boeing 747.
