The UN calls for togetherness and resilience against fear of “The Others”

Everyone needs a place where they can feel comfortable, either at work, school, or home. This is especially true for veterans, who are just getting out of the military and heading back to school.

The first 32 years of Daniel Bowyer’s life were chaotic, impulsive, and reactionary. It is a familiar and tragic story.

On Friday, April 7, groups of protesters gathered in downtown Los Angeles to demonstrate against the United States’ recent preemptive strike against Syria. The attack, which occurred the night before, saw some 59 cruise missiles strike a Syrian air force base near the city of Homs.

While The American Dream thrives in my own private bubble of the universe, a few blocks down, near an interstate 405 exit, so many tents are pitched underneath a freeway ramp that it could look like a camping ground if not for the blinking of traffic lights and the passing of rushing cars.
