BLM Claim One Battle in War Against Police Violence
The weekend after Derek Chauvin’s guilty verdict was announced, Black Lives Matter Los Angeles and the organization BLD PWR, organized a memorial for victims of police violence including George Floyd, Ma’ Khia Bryant, Adam Toledo, Breonna Taylor, Daunte Wright, Anthony Thompson Jr., Andrew Brown Jr. on April 25, 2021. Attendees rejoiced that, in George Floyds case, justice was finally served, but acknowledged that there is much more work to be done.
