Santa Monica College’s Art Department will host a Valentine’s Glass Sale on Saturday, Feb. 7, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Virginia Avenue Park, 2200 Virginia Ave., presenting the community a chance to find one-of-a-kind, handmade gifts for the upcoming holiday.

The sale will offer handcrafted glass hearts, platters, jewelry and other decorative pieces created by SMC glass artists, led by Associate Professor Terri Bromberg.

Although advertised as a Valentine’s Day sale, the SMC calendar event page says the artwork “can enhance seasonal home and office decor, as well as satisfy holiday, anniversary, birthday, and other year-round gift needs.”

The sale will take place alongside Virginia Avenue Park’s Valentine’s Day Celebration, and proceeds will support future events at Virginia Avenue Park and the SMC Art Department, according to SMC’s website.
