With the news breaking of a large oil spill in Huntington Beach, CA and the fate of women’s rights still up in the air, autumn remains the same. It comes to us every year, and brings with it a cool breeze of change.

As the weather dips below 75 degrees in Los Angeles, the summer blues that I am doomed to every year, vanishes without fail. The focus and mental clarity that the cool weather brings adds to the empowerment that I am trying to embody in my own life, and for The Corsair.

SMC Corsairs went head to head with Ventura College (VC) Wednesday, Oct. 13, at Santa Monica College. Ventura College in the first couple minutes of the game found a way to put in a couple goals, only to have the Corsairs follow suit and only trail by 2 going into the half.

The SMC Corsairs took on Citrus College Friday, Oct. 8, at Santa Monica College. From the start the the Corsairs took the immediate lead and held that lead until half time with a score of 3-1 in favor of the Corsairs.

SMC Corsairs took on Bakersfield College Tuesday, Oct. 5 at Santa Monica College. Bakersfield took the early 2-0 lead over the Corsairs and held that lead, until just before half where the Corsairs were able to squeeze in a couple goals to tie it up. With a score of 2-2 after half,

Santa Monica College Corsairs took on Valley College in an head to head game Wed. Sept. 29. Valley College took the early lead and retained that momentum until half, with the score being 14-2 in favor of Valley College. The Corsairs were never able to get anything going and took the 21-5 loss to continue the season.
