Art Party on the Block
Hosted by the 18th Street Arts Center, the Pico Block Party gave local community members the chance to not only view local artworks and performances, but also participate in art-making workshops on Saturday, Oct. 14. The event's main attraction was to show that art can be both interactive and instructive at the same time.

SMC's Moon Over Buffalo Play
After a very intense month of rehearsal, ranging from four to six hours a day, the cast of Moon Over Buffalo took to the Theater Arts main stage at Santa Monica College on Thursday September 28, 2017, for their preview showing. It takes place in 1953 and is about the madcap comedy, Moon Over Buffalo.

Healing the Bay: Coastal Cleanup Day 2017
Dotted along the coast of Venice Beach with a backdrop of grey skies, early morning beachgoers for miles carried buckets and scanned the sands. Instead of filling their buckets with typical beach treasures such as shells, stones, or the occasional starfish, these shore hunters were filling them with cigarette filters, straws, and plastic bottle caps.
WOMEN RUN LA
The marine layer engulfed Dodger stadium at 5am on a Sunday morning. Runners from all over the world gathered to celebrate healthy exercise and the city of Los Angeles. Despite the thick fog, the runners were ready to take on a mammoth challenge.
A Day Without Women Rally
On Wednesday, March 8, 2017, women gathered across the street from the Los Angeles City Hall for a rally held by The Women’s March foundation. The day was called “A Day Without a Woman.”
