Njomo is a member of the men’s soccer team at Santa Monica College, and like many other student-athletes, he sacrifices a lot in order to be part of the team. “I decided to be part of the team for the experience, my love for soccer and to be able to get a scholarship at the university," he said.

Santa Monica College clubs and organizations held the Students Feeding Students Farmers Market this Monday, April 16 at the school's Organic Learning Garden. The market has been a part of SMC's annual Earth week for several years, but has grown to include sustainability initiatives in addition to being a resource for food-insecure students.

Members of the Santa Monica College Associated Students board were joking amongst themselves and the atmosphere was jovial as the board met in their Cayton Center conference room after classes resumed after spring break.

Santa Monica College will be hosting its college fair next Tuesday, April 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the main campus. It will take place on the quad throughout the whole walkway.

On the night of April 13, 2018, president Donald Trump announced his order of launching strikes on Syria. This led to hundreds of people protesting the air strike the following day, at 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Pershing Square.

This is a response to Francisco Munoz’s Op-ed, “Associated Students? More like Isolated Students.”

As a preface, let me make it clear that I thought it was a well-written and thoughtful article, but I feel compelled to respond to (and elaborate on) a couple of points that I find to be particularly important. For the sake of clear organization, I will copy and paste three central paragraphs from Mr. Munoz’s article before I write my response to them. Let us examine the following passage:
